Frequently Asked Questions on ASCII Pic

Q: Why is the output file so large?
A: The larger the input picture, the larger will be the output file.

Q: How can I reduce the size of the output file?
A: You can use the zoom function in the "Options" tab.

Q: What programs can I use to view the output text?
A: Whatever text editor/viewer which supports fixed-width fonts.

Q: How come the output "image" is stretched vertically?
A: Because the font you use is a rectangular rather than square. This can't be fixed by my program.

Q: How can I convert the textfile back to a picture?
A: I can hardly understand why this is asked. ASCII Pic was not designed to help you to store pictures in smaller size.
